Honor Titus

Honor Titus is an American artist who grew up in New York during the late 1990s and early 2000s. He is the son of rapper Andres "Dres" Titus of the duo Black Sheep. In 2008, he formed the punk-rock band Cerebral Ballzy and later became the studio assistant to Raymond Pettibon, which ignited his passion for painting. He draws inspiration from the French post-impressionist group Les Nabis, but places emphasis on flatness of lines, colors, and decorative elements in his paintings. His work caught the attention of artist Henry Taylor, who became his mentor and the first to exhibit his work in his space. One of his notable works is Linden Blvd Jazz Radio, which features flat dark crimson planes and intricately detailed, baroque moldings around the building's windows.
